This tutorial covers the four control charts seen in the VPM.
***The arrow on top of the chart is the goal. The arrow on the chart is the current progress towards that goal. The colors are an easy way to see how you're doing (green = on target, yellow = making progress, red = needs attention).
1. Actual Work-In-Process
A. This control chart keeps track of actual WIP. This is all WIP that takes place on repair steps that are considered "active" steps, and is calculated from the column tagged with "Actual In Date" (default column name is "Ready for Production") up to --but not including-- the column tagged with "Actual Out Date" (default column name is "Ready for Del).
2. Active Work-In-Process
A. This control charts keeps track of the active WIP (the percentage of the total WIP that is being actively worked on).
3. Inactive Work-In-Process
A. This control chart keeps track of the inactive WIP (the percentage of the total WIP that requires waiting, i.e. "ready for production", "waiting for disassembly", etc.).
B. Clicking on the arrow of this chart opens a pop-up with a precise breakdown of the inactive WIP. It tells you exactly how many hours are being spent doing what.

4. Hours Delivered this Week Towards Goal
A. This control chart keeps track of the amount of hours delivered towards the weekly hour goal. The shop can set a production goal based on the number of hours they can produce in a week. If the shop is also using CR Auto Scheduler - Production, the hours calculation will be done in that program. When a card is moved to the delivered column, it is added to a running total for the week. The cards are then archived on Sunday morning.
