Text Message (SMS) Setup

The program allows two forms of electronic two-way communication with vehicle owners. The first is email and the second is text (SMS) messaging.

The system allows the repair facility to send text messages to the vehicle owner.  Some of the messages will be prewritten.  The user also has the ability to send customized messages. 


The location to input the texting phone number for a central test message is on the "Shop Information" page. The shop's phone number is displayed on most screens visible to the vehicle owner.  

The system will allow for outbound text messages, both automated and custom.

The location to put in a phone number for the business is on the "Shop Employees" page.

 



 All text messages received from the vehicle owner will be temportly stored under "Shop Messages" and permanently stored under the vehicle owners name under the "Shop Customers". 




The shop may read the message and then mark the message as read / replied. Or they may reply with a custom message to the customer.



The user may send a reply to a customer limited to 160 characters. 



 All messages will also be saved under the "Shop Customers" tab.
