This tool allows the repair center to send a text or email
to the vehicle owner asking them to confirm their drop-off appointment. The
tool also offers the vehicle owner the option to place a reminder on their
calendar. The system can be configured to send an automatic reconfirmation
request 1 to 7 days before the drop-off, asking the customer to confirm the
drop-off date. If the shop chooses, the customer can even communicate
back they need a new drop-off date.
If you are not ready to start using the new tool, don’t
select the vehicle owner’s preferred communication method.

When scheduling a drop-off, select the vehicle owner’s
preferred communication method.
The system will send a message asking the customer to
confirm their appointment and the tool will provide the customer with the
option of adding the appointment to their calendar.
It is up to each repair facility to determine if the program
will offer the vehicle owner the option of requesting a new drop off
date. In talking with many of you, it was determined that some locations
did not want to offer the vehicle owner the option to ask for a new drop-off
date through the tool.
Each repair location has the option to determine if and when
a reminder message will be sent.
